Leadership & Ranks
The general female rank progression in Celestial Church of Christ, through Mother Celestial, with the Prophetess line shown as a related path.

Ranks in Celestial Church of Christ reflect an established order of seniority, service, responsibility, and distinctive Sutana. The progression shown here helps visitors understand the Church’s rank structure, but it should not be understood as an automatic ladder in which every member simply advances through every rank. Higher appointments are governed by the order and authority of the Church.
The beginning rank within the female leadership line. A Sister wears the standard round-neck Sister Sutana.
Every woman begins as Sister. A member with a recognized prophetic calling instead follows the related Prophetess line shown below.
The Elder Sister wears the round-neck Sister Sutana with a yellow loin bearing one white cross.
The Cape Elder Sister adds an unlaced cape to the round-neck Sutana and wears a yellow loin bearing one white cross.
The Senior Elder Sister is distinguished by a round-neck Cape Sutana with lace.
Lace Elder Sister is a recognized rank within the female leadership line and follows Senior Elder Sister.
The Superior Senior Elder Sister wears a laced round-neck Cape Sutana with an unlaced yellow upper garment, a yellow loin bearing three white crosses, and white strands.
The Lace Superior Senior Elder Sister wears a laced round-neck Cape Sutana with a laced yellow upper garment, a yellow loin bearing three white crosses, and white strands.
Mother Celestial is a senior female rank within Celestial Church of Christ. Within the general female leadership line, the rank is distinguished by a laced round-neck Cape Sutana with a laced pink upper garment, a yellow loin bearing three white crosses, and white strands.
A woman holding the rank of Mother Celestial is not automatically a Prophetess. The Prophetess line is a distinct spiritual line within the Church.
The General Female line is historically identified with round-neck cape traditions and a yellow loin; the Prophetess line with four-corner prophetic garments and a blue loin. This page does not claim that every Mother Celestial retains exactly the same historical garment distinction worldwide — modern regalia will be documented separately.
Mother Celestial does not automatically mean Prophetess — see the related Prophetess path below.
Women with a recognized prophetic calling follow this related Prophetess line. Reaching Mother Celestial in the general line above does not by itself mean a woman is a Prophetess — the two lines are distinct.
The beginning rank within the female leadership line. A Sister wears the standard round-neck Sister Sutana.
The Prophetess wears the female four-corner Sutana, reflecting her recognized place within the prophetic line of the Church.
The Cape Elder Prophetess is distinguished by the four-corner Sutana with an unlaced cape and a blue loin bearing one white cross.
The Senior Prophetess wears a four-corner Cape Sutana without lace, with a blue loin bearing three white crosses and no strands.
The Superior Senior Prophetess is distinguished by the four-corner cape with lace, a blue loin bearing three crosses, and white strands.
The Lace Superior Senior Prophetess adds a laced yellow upper garment to the laced four-corner cape, together with a blue loin bearing three white crosses and white strands.
Higher Female Orders is an interface grouping, not a separate CCC rank. It orients the Prophetess pathway toward the senior female orders shown in the General Female line above.
The Prophetess calling and the Mother Celestial orders are related parts of the wider female rank structure, but they should not be treated as the same thing. A woman may hold a Mother Celestial rank without automatically being a Prophetess.
