Ranks in Celestial Church of Christ reflect an established order of seniority, service, responsibility, and distinctive Sutana. The progression shown here helps visitors understand the Church’s rank structure, but it should not be understood as an automatic ladder in which every member simply advances through every rank. Higher appointments are governed by the order and authority of the Church.
The beginning rank within the male leadership line. A Brother wears the standard Brother Sutana.
Every man begins as Brother. A member with a recognized prophetic calling instead follows the related Prophetic line shown below.
The Elder Brother wears the Brother Sutana with a white loin and one blue cross, without strands.
The Cape Elder Brother adds an unlaced cape to the Sutana. The rank is distinguished by a white loin, one blue cross, and no strands.
The Full Elder Brother wears a Cape Sutana with a white loin, one blue cross, and yellow strands.
The Senior Elder Brother is distinguished by a laced Cape Sutana, a white loin bearing three blue crosses, and yellow strands.
The Superior Senior Elder Brother wears a laced Cape Sutana with a white loin bearing three blue crosses and yellow strands. The rank also introduces a short yellow upper garment with a turtleneck and five front buttons.
The Assistant Leader wears the Leader Sutana with an unlaced white short-wing upper garment, a white loin bearing one blue cross, and yellow strands.
The Leader wears an unlaced white short-wing upper garment with a white loin bearing three crosses and yellow strands.
The Senior Leader is distinguished by a laced white short-wing upper garment, a white loin bearing three crosses, and yellow strands.
The Superior Senior Leader wears a laced yellow short-wing upper garment with a blue crossbar and yellow strands, together with a white loin bearing three blue crosses and yellow strands.
For a full-time church worker at this level, the documented dress combination uses a grey short-wing upper garment in place of the yellow one.
The Constitution identifies Superior Senior Leader, Superior Senior Wolida, and Superior Senior Elder as corresponding senior ranks. Advancement to Assistant Evangelist and above is not described as automatic merely because a member has reached one of these ranks.
The Honorary Assistant Evangelist wears the Leader Sutana with a long yellow robe, without a crossbar, together with a white loin bearing three blue crosses and yellow strands.

The Assistant Evangelist is identified within the documented ranking system as a full-time church-worker rank. Its regalia includes the Leader Sutana with a long grey robe, without a crossbar, together with a white loin bearing three blue crosses and yellow strands.
The Honorary Evangelist wears a white cassock with a long yellow robe, a blue-and-yellow stranded crossbar, and a white loin bearing the Altar design and three blue crosses, finished with yellow strands.
Honorary counterpart to Evangelist, recognized at the same level in the Higher Evangelist Orders.

Special Most Senior Evangelist is an established CCC title, recognized at the same level as Most Senior Evangelist.
The Most Senior Evangelist wears a white or pink cape cassock with a long pink robe and a green-and-purple stranded crossbar. The white loin carries the Altar design, with three blue crosses at the front and three at each end, finished with purple strands.
Most Senior Evangelist and Most Superior Evangelist are two different ranks. This page always writes both titles in full rather than abbreviating either one.
The Special Venerable Most Senior Evangelist wears a white cassock without a laced cape and a long white robe with a yellow stranded crossbar. The deep-yellow loin bears the blue Altar design and three crosses, with yellow strands.
Contemporary examples show Special Venerable Most Senior Evangelists serving as senior members, professionals, patrons, and Parochial Committee leaders outside ordinary parish Shepherding. Not every holder is automatically non-clergy solely because “Special” appears in the title unless an authoritative CCC rule explicitly establishes that classification.
The Venerable Most Senior Evangelist wears a white or moon-yellow cape cassock without lace, with a long moon-yellow robe. The yellow loin bears the Altar design, with three crosses at the front and three at each end, finished with light-yellow strands.
The Superior Evangelist wears a white or purple laced cape cassock with a long purple robe and a yellow-and-white stranded crossbar. The purple-and-white loin bears the Altar design, with three crosses at the front and three at each end, finished with yellow strands.
Clergy. Paired at this level with Special Superior Evangelist (non-clergy).
Special Superior Evangelist is a non-clergy rank established for longstanding members of the laity. Its approved apparel distinguishes the rank from the purple regalia reserved for clergy at the corresponding level.
The Special Superior Evangelist wears a white cassock with cape trimmings, a three-cross white girdle, and a white ceremonial Ileke with a yellow crossbar.
The Pastorate has explicitly described Special Superior Evangelist as a rank established for laity.
A clergy rank. Under the current dress directive, clergy who have attained Assistant Venerable Superior Evangelist wear the light-blue cassock and light-blue surplice (Ileke). They may also wear the white cassock with the appropriate trimmings for their rank.

A non-clergy rank created to distinguish members of the laity from clergy at the Assistant Venerable Superior Evangelist level.
The Special Assistant Venerable Superior Evangelist wears a lemon-colored cassock and lemon-colored surplice (Ileke) with a grey crossbar, together with lemon-colored loins bearing the three-cross Altar design in blue.

A clergy rank. Under the current dress directive, clergy who have attained Venerable Superior Evangelist wear the light-blue cassock and light-blue surplice (Ileke). They may also wear the white cassock with the appropriate trimmings for their rank.

A non-clergy rank created to distinguish members of the laity from clergy at the Venerable Superior Evangelist level.
The Special Venerable Superior Evangelist wears a silver-colored cassock and silver-colored surplice (Ileke) with a lemon-colored crossbar, together with silver-colored loins bearing the three-cross Altar design in blue.

The Assistant Most Superior Evangelist wears a white or light-blue cape cassock with lace detailing, together with a blue loin bearing the white Altar-cross design. The rank is further distinguished by purple strands and a long blue robe with a milky-white stranded crossbar.

The Most Superior Evangelist wears a white or light-blue cape cassock with lace detailing, a blue loin bearing the white Altar-cross design, and a long blue robe with a milky-white stranded crossbar. The loin carries three crosses at the front and three at each end, with white and purple strands.

The Special Assistant Venerable Superior Evangelist and Special Venerable Superior Evangelist ranks were created by the Pastorate in 2026 specifically to make the distinction between clergy and non-clergy clearer.
Historical & Exceptional — Outside the Ordinary Progression
The Supreme Evangelist wears a white cassock with a long deep-blue robe and a deep-purple crossbar with light-purple strands. The deep-blue loin bears the purple Altar-cross design, with three crosses at the front and three at each end, finished with purple strands.
Supreme Evangelist was a unique and exceptional rank in the history of Celestial Church of Christ. Rev. Alexander Abiodun Bada was the only person to hold the title of Supreme Evangelist. He later served as Pastor and Supreme Head of Celestial Church of Christ Worldwide.
Supreme Evangelist should not be understood as an ordinary promotion through which every senior Evangelist must pass, nor does holding the title itself automatically make a person the Pastor.
The Pastor is the worldwide head of Celestial Church of Christ. The documented ranking system identifies the Pastor’s garment as the Pastoral Tunic.
This is an office of worldwide headship and should not be presented as an automatic promotion following Supreme Evangelist or Most Superior Evangelist.
Members with a recognized prophetic calling follow this related line instead of the general steps above. A person's later elevation does not necessarily erase the prophetic calling — CCC may identify a senior member by both an Evangelist rank and a prophetic designation, for example Most Senior Evangelist (Prophet).

The Cape Elder Prophet is distinguished by the four-corner Sutana with an unlaced cape, a blue loin bearing one white cross, and no strands.
Sometimes referred to by the shortened usage “Cape Prophet”; this page uses the fuller public-facing title Cape Elder Prophet.
The Woleader wears the four-corner Sutana with an unlaced cape and an unlaced white upper garment. The blue loin bears three white crosses.
Alternate English spellings such as Wolidah, Wolida, and Wolider are sometimes encountered for this title. This website standardizes on Woleader.
The Senior Woleader is distinguished by a laced cape and laced white upper garment, with a blue loin bearing three white crosses and white strands.
The Superior Senior Woleader wears a laced cape with a laced blue upper garment, a blue loin bearing three white crosses, and white strands.
Superior Senior Woleader is the recognized senior prophetic rank corresponding to Superior Senior Leader and Superior Senior Elder. As with the General Male Rank Line, advancement from here into the Higher Evangelist Orders is by selection, not automatic succession.
