Serving Beyond Our Walls
Christian service does not end at the doors of the Sanctuary. As Celestians, we believe faith is lived out not only in worship, but in how we care for the people and communities around us.
Causes is where Disciple Parish documents that part of our life together — the practical ways we've served, and the ways we hope to continue serving, here in Hartford and, as God provides opportunity, abroad.
This area of our ministry is still developing. We're building this page honestly, one project at a time.
Community work at Disciple Parish is still young, but it is real. Below are two initiatives we've undertaken recently.
On Saturday, June 13, 2026, Disciple Parish held our 2026 Harvest Community Outreach Day at 175 Affleck Street, offering free food, gospel music, and health checks to everyone in our neighborhood. Wheeler Health served as our official health partner, bringing their mobile health van on site.

Disciple Parish also recently held a rummage / garage sale as a community and fundraising initiative.
As Disciple Parish continues to grow, we hope to take on additional community initiatives locally in Hartford, and, as God opens doors, projects abroad.
Members and friends of Disciple Parish can support this work through volunteering, giving, prayer, or other forms of support as opportunities become available.
